ABSTRACT
Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI) are the main triggers of infectious disease morbidity and mortality in the world, the ARI mortality rate reaches 4.25 million every year in the world. Antibiotics are an option to treat respiratory tract infections. The success of therapy is highly dependent on the use of appropriate antibiotics. The use of drugs also does not rule out the possibility of DRP's. Drug related problems (DRP's) are treatment failures. The purpose of the study was to determine the accuracy of the use of antibiotics using the identification of DRP's PCNE V8.01 classification at PKU Muhammadiyah Surakarta Hospital in 2020. The use of DRP's Pharmaceutical Care Network Europe (PCNE) was because there were separate codes between problems, causes, and interventions and were arranged hierarchically. The type of research used is observational with retrospective data collection. The population taken was ARI patients at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Surakarta. Samples that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were three patients. The results of the normality test using Kolmogorof-Smirnov showed that the data before and after being tested were normally distributed with a significant p < 0.05. The results of the Pearson correlation analysis showed that there was an influence of drug rationality with LOS, a p value of 0.000 was obtained with an r value of 1,000 while the leukocyte number was significant at 0.03 with an r value of 0.999, which means the correlation level is very strong. The results of this study there is an influence between drug rationality with Length of stay (LOS) of 20.2% and leukocyte lift of 99.8% using regression analysis.
